Many of our service team have various levels of industrial experience, including time with such major MDW organizations as Phillips Industries, Owens - Illinois, American Electric Power, Metokote, American Power Pull, Zeller Manufacturing, Dannon and others. Having practical shop floor experience, supervisory and management experience and back office experience with MDW organizations gives our service team unique qualifications to service the special needs of the industry.

From assisting clients in developing cost analysis, consulting on improving the utilization of equipment and labor resources, to scheduling systems and inventory and production management, our team can help you improve your efficiency and profitability.

Our experience includes job or made to order manufacturers, production run manufacturers and continuous production commodity producers. Whether your needs are for materials resource planning, capacity process planning or enterprise resource planning, our team has the knowledge and training to assist in your implementation, analysis and interpretation concerns.

Clients include small assembly shops to larger continuous production manufacturers. Our expertise and experience in MWD software extends to a number of industry specific packages including Symix, Made2Manage, MAS90 and others. For warehousing and distribution, we frequently work with SolomonÒ and other software solutions as well. Our experience includes evaluation and implementation of EDI processes both from the vendor as well as supplier sides of the chain.

Clients with IS0 9000 and 14000 series goals, planning, implementation and monitoring concerns engage us to assist them in preparation for qualification and in continuous process improvement programs to maintain certifications. Additionally, we have assisted a number of clients with their SPC needs and issues, even when certifications are not an issue.

Our MWD Group publishes a quarterly industry specialty newsletter, ManuFacts, that is distributed to clients, associates and acquaintances.

Like our other industry specialties, our MWD Group routinely services a broad range of clients across Ohio, Indiana and Michigan with some clients having operations outside the tri-state area.

Our MDW Group is led by D. J. Muse, CPA, DABFA, who has been providing services to the manufacturing, warehousing and distribution industry since 1976. In addition to providing auditing, accounting, taxation and traditional consulting services to the industry, D.J. has received specialized training in activity based costing, consulting services relating to key performance indicators and in manufacturing software solutions. His experience includes practicing as a partner in a major, nationally known and recognized CPA firm, as a partner in his own CPA firm as well as with a software consulting group specializing in management information services to the MDW industry.
