The Manufacturing, Warehousing & Distribution Industry Group (MWD Group) at Shultz Huber & Associates, Inc., Certified Public Accountants & Business Advisors provide a broad range of specialty services in addition to traditional accounting firm services.
Like all our service and industry specialties, the focus of our services are the needs of our clients. Instead of offering a menu of services to our MWD clients, we instead encourage a close working, long-term relationship with our clients where clients bring problems to us for solutions.
As clients identify problems, or as they engage us to assist in identifying problems, we know our primary responsibility to clients is to bring resources to bear to help solve those problems. Where we do not have the internal resources to satisfy the need, we turn to our international network of professionals to find the required resources.
Many of our service team have various levels of industrial experience, including time with such major MDW organizations as Phillips Industries, Owens - Illinois, American Electric Power, Metokote, American Power Pull, Zeller Manufacturing, Dannon and others. Having practical shop floor experience, supervisory and management experience and back office experience with MDW organizations gives our service team unique qualifications to service the special needs of the industry.
From assisting clients in developing cost analysis, consulting on improving the utilization of equipment and labor resources, to scheduling systems and inventory and production management, our team can help you improve your efficiency and profitability.
Our experience includes job or made to order manufacturers, production run manufacturers and continuous production commodity producers. Whether your needs are for materials resource planning, capacity process planning or enterprise resource planning, our team has the knowledge and training to assist in your implementation, analysis and interpretation concerns.
Clients include small assembly shops to larger continuous production manufacturers. If your company produces, assembles, machines, sews, manufactures or coats metals, steel, plastics, tooling, durable or consumer goods, chances are we already serve clients simular to you. The particular problems associated with warehousing and distribution services, especially in inventory control and movement management, are representative of issues we have assisted clients in resolving.
Our expertise and experience in MWD software extends to a number of industry specific packages including Symix, Made2Manage, MAS90 and others. For warehousing and distribution, we frequently work with SolomonĂ’ and other software solutions as well. Our experience includes evaluation and implementation of EDI processes both from the vendor as well as supplier sides of the chain.
Clients with IS0 9000 and 14000 series goals, planning, implementation and monitoring concerns engage us to assist them in preparation for qualification and in continuous process improvement programs to maintain certifications. Additionally, we have assisted a number of clients with their SPC needs and issues, even when certifications are not an issue.
Our MWD Group publishes a quarterly industry specialty newsletter, ManuFacts, that is distributed to clients, associates and acquaintances.
Like our other industry specialties, our MWD Group routinely services a broad range of clients across Ohio, Indiana and Michigan with some clients having operations outside the tri-state area.
If your company's needs include foreign sales, foreign currency, export/import or foreign production concerns, our team can assist as well.
We would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your company's needs and concerns.
